Heavy Menstruation on Femcon Fe Posted: 01-23-08 00:17am
ok so im on femecon fe
anyways i just got off a 10 day period a
few days ago. it sucked really really bad.
so anyways i had called my dr on day 8 of
the bleeding and she said if it didnt stop
to call her thursday when she gets back
from her vacation. so anywas it stopped
ofr about 3 days and then yesterday
whenever i wiped there was blood. but only
when i wiped?
then tonight all of a sudden whan i went
to the restroom is started full on
bleeding REALLY heavily.
i think it might be my birth control?
thats all i can think of at this point?
because mine is very low dose BC i think i
might need to switch to something higher
doseage?
so anyways my question is: what BC pill is
most common for weight gain and breast
tenderness/increase? im thinking of maybe
yaz is what i might see to switch too?
with yaz will i have any weight gain or
increased breast size?
thansk in advanced

Suzy, every doctor has a back up when they
are on vacation. Call your doctor's
office and ask for the doctor-on-call.
Please? You can call 24 hours a day.
You could also call your local hospital
and ask to speak with a nurse. They would
be able to tell you if you should go to
the emergency room or not.
Can you call your mom?

You need to go in for sure soon. You might
be ok until your dr gets back. I totally
know how you feel! I had the same thing if
you remember from all my posts, from the
patch. The non stop bleeding, headaches
(but I have those anyway), and yeast
infections. I'm finally doing better!!!
I'm on lo ovral now! And actually losing
weight!!
I havn't used YAZ but from working in the
pharmacy there are alot of women who use
it and seem to like it. I don't get in
deep conversations with them but you know
I hope your doing better sweety! Like I
said I so know how you feel. And I'm sure
it doesnt' help with that little one. How
is she doing? Well take care!

She DOES NOT need an ER..
When NEW mom's go on birth control, they
tend to have 1-2 MONTHS of irregular
spotting and bleeding.
THIS IS NORMAL. AS long as you are not
soaking through more than 2 pads in an
hour for 3 hours, you are not 'bleeding
out'.
The hormones from her own body are whacky
enough, and now the BC is trying to
regulate everything.

Well I think many of us are alarmed by the
fact that the bleeding does seem heavy.

There is nothing an ER can really do..
IF she is losing massive amounts of blood,
they will do a transfusion.
Unfortunately, there is not a whole that
can be done with uterine bleeding.
