I turned 17 last week, and I still feel as
if I'm a kid. I have next to no pubic hair
- none under my arm, chest, face..nothing.
I'm also very slim and small for my age
too, as well as having a somewhat higher
pitched voice.
I've already been to the doctor about
this, and even the hospital in which they
gave me a few doses of testosterone (I
think that's what it's called).
I'm growing to feel really depressed
lately, and lacking confidence. I stay up
too late, am miserable around people and
tend to feel unhappy when I shouldn't be.
As well as failing to do work, and lacking
in concentration during college.
Anyone one else in the same boat? Or at
least any advice as to when puberty might
'kick-in'.
Thanks

If you're genuinely worried about this,
keep consulting your doctor. They'll know
whether it's best to continue testosterone
treatment or whether it's unnecessary.
Puberty tends to hit men at an older age
than women. I'm 22 and have probably
transformed quite a lot since I was 17.
More body hair, more muscle tone etc.
Don't beat yourself up about it anyway
because this type of thing is usually
treatable.

Lemme suggest what you do
GET YOUR TESTOSTERONE LEVELS UP
The best way to do is something
competitive. Just the competition will
rear up your levels. Winning will bring
them up even more!Hell, im pretty sure
even video games work for this sort of
thing.
Anyway, that does bite for you. When i was
12 i had hit puberty before the 13 year
olds in my school. Had more hair in my
armpits and..well... you know, than any of
them. Well im not sure about "You know"
but we had a competition for the armpits.
One other note. There are a couple types
of puberty, all of end with extreme signs
of puberty, basically the end, but some of
puberty types rushed.
Please note what im about to tell you is
not professional, just my opinion.
Regular puberty-12(or 13) to
20ish----Puberty happens over time. The
sudden rush and rapid growth happening at
the end signals when it stops.
Delayed puberty-anywhere from 15-18 to
20ish----Puberty was delayed and will now
seems to rush. So much, infact, that
growing pains will probably occur. All
hair grows in very fast and muscles
develop quickly(good time to decide to
become a body builder)
You'll know when you hit it, kid, just
remember, Depression=Lower testosterone
levels, and thats what is used in puberty,
so go out there and win a few
competitions. Beat a few people up(in
competitions i mean...sort of), impress
some girls, gain some popularity and BAM
your levels are through the roof.

It's interesting to read how you're
feeling, because what you're feeling now
is how I felt during my teenage years
while I was going through puberty. You
never know, it might be puberty itself
that is causing you to feel like this: The
staying up late, irritability etc.
There are many men who have very small
amounts of body hair and who are small in
stature: those are just the cards genetics
dealt.
Be patient. Sometimes puberty can be quite
delayed. If, by the time you're 20, you
are not experiencing any changes, then I
would think it's time for intensive
testosterone therapy. Until then, I
wouldn't worry too much about it. I know
it sucks, because it's an expectation at
your age to go through 'the change', but
everyone's different.

Certainly have an endocrinologist do all
the exams, because at this age it could be
delayed puberty which is ussually diagnose
at 16 or 17 years of age.
but do get a few endo's to exam you
because you could end up on Testosterone
for the rest of your life, and that needs
very careful examination
