38 weeks and stretch marks!!

So I am little upset abou this. only 2
weeks left and I got like little lines on
my belly. You can only see them when I sit
down though and my skin isn't so tight.
They aren't diffrent colors they are just
like little wrinkles. Is that what they
are going to look like after I have the
baby. Are they still going to tan
diffrently then the rest of my skin. I
have them all over my boobs but the are
diffrent there cause they are alot worse.
Are they also gonna keep getting worse
though? I think I am just not excited
about having them cause I am only 17 and
still want to look good after this baby
lol. I haven't started to dialate yet
either so that means I still probably have
another week or so. I just was wondering
if someone could let me know what they are
gonna look like after I have the baby. Is
there any lotiong that will help smooth my
skin after if it's like really wrinkly or
dimply looking where I have them.
hopefully someone can help

Lotion Lotion Lotion. Cocoa Butter is a
good one, but they special kinda for
stretch marks, but cocoa butter, imo,
works just as well! Well, when I use it
anyway

I have used coco butter with the vitamin e
collegin and elastin, and the tummy butter
with all that stuff in it and regular coco
butter with more vitamin e in it everyday
and night since I was like 4 months. I
think I did start slacking with it a
little bit the past few weeks b/c I guess
I just kinda thought I was safe. I am so
mad at myself now. I even took it to
school and went to the bathroom and put it
on in between classes but that was the
tummy butter. I was extremely obsessive
about it like my shirts that I wore to bed
kinda looked like they were wet b/c I
always had on so much lotion. I just want
everything to even out after I have the
baby. I don't want my belly looking like
g-mas lol.

they will fade with time. for now all you
can do is keep them lotioned and hope for
the best. Sorry to tell ya but stretch
marks never fully go away unless you have
like a tummy tuck. My stomach looks like a
road map but now that they are older you
cant tell as well. My strecth marks tanned
pretty well with the tanning lotions they
sell for them.

what type of tanning lotions do they sell
for them? even if they are the same color
as mu normal skin they can still tan
diffrently? I know they never fully go
away if even a little. I am just scared to
that after I have her that there are gonna
be more that I just couldn't see b/c my
belly is so strectched and tight right
now. I have so many questions about this
that could go on forever. I really don't
want to sound like a baby I just have a
few questions... ya know

Stretch marks are scars in the skin. Like
scars, they never fully go away. There is
also nothing you can do to prevent them if
you are prone to getting them. They are
hereditary.
Keep your skin moisterized, although it
won't stop them, it doesn't hurt
After time, your stretch marks will fade,
but will never permanently be gone.
Depending on the severity, they will range
in color. At first they'll be purple,
later they'll fade more towards skin color
but may always have a silvery-shiny tone
to them. They are also indented, so if you
run your finger over the stretch marked
skin, it will feel bumpy.
Welcome to motherhood! Hope you enjoy your
stay

Like everyone else has said, they will
never FULLY go away but, I know people
that have had2 or 3 kids and they had
gotten stretch marks but you'd never know
it. like my step mom, after she had my
sister in '99 after about 2 years you
couldn't tell there were ever stretch
marks.. Maybe you'll be one of those lucky
people that you won't be able to tell in a
few years.

yeah, I'm 39 weeks now and JUST starting
to get them. You can barley tell so I'm
happy about that. They aren't all bumpy
like either like everyone says stretch
marks are... and they are very few and
just around my effing belly button Oh well, my man
doesn't care lol. I could have really bad
ones and it wouldn't matter. I still hate
it though lol

I was lucky, I didn't get any stretch
marks. I didn't know they were
hereditary, thanks for that info.

As is scarring on your skin. If you have
skin that easily scars, it is hereditary.
Same goes with stretchmarks. If your
mom/grandma have them, you may get them as
well. But, like all things, it doesn't
mean you will.
Also it depends on how fast you grow.
Because your skin can handle some
stretch... just not dramatic stretching
quickly.

omg it's SO hereditary in my family. NO
ONE DOESN"T have them, lol. I have them
basically from my knees to my neck and
EVERYWHERE in between. And it's not even
from pregnancy! I can't imagine what my
belly's gonna look like. I mostly have
them on my hips and they are faded now
(for the most part). *sigh* bye bye pretty
belly.

If you take vitamin e pills and/of use
vitamin e oil, it should help reduce them
some. it helped with my motorcycle scar!

The tanning salon I went to had stuff, i
cant remember what it was called. My
stretchmarks would stay a little lighter
than the rest of my tan but i have big
canyons for stretchmarks lol

What happens to your skin after pregnancy?
Does it all just go flabby or does your
skin kinda shrink back to what it was. I
feel llike an fool like I have never seen
someone that has had a baby before but I
am getting these questions now? I know my
older sister her belly is really wrinkly
but she has had 5 kids so, I don't really
think I can answer my question off of what
I have seem from her. I know it takes time
for your uterus to shrink agian and it
gives your skin time to shrink back too...
