Sore, swollen left side of tongue Posted: 01-24-08 19:51pm
Hello,
I had what I believe to be a flu a week
ago. During the last stages, I had a sore
tongue on the left side and a swollen
bump. There were some very small ridges
on the right side of my tongue, but they
weren't so bad. The flu/cold left and the
sore tongue went away.
However, last night the sore tongue came
back, as did my other symptoms. This is
odd, since I've felt great for a week.
The return of the sore bump on my tongue
corresponded exactly to my symptoms
returning. Yesterday was a bit of a
stressful day at work, but it still seems
odd.
I'm not congested/coughing, I just feel
very weak. I took my temperature, and it
was low (around 95). Any ideas? I called
my GP this morning, and have not heard
back all day. I know he's busy, but wish
he'd return my call (sounds like I need a
new GP!).
Thanks so much for any input.

Also have a swollen, tender gland on back of neck Posted: 01-24-08 23:59pm
A lymph node (I think) on the side of the
back of my neck near the base of my head
has become swollen and tender in the last
hour. I don't know if that helps at all.
My GP did call back, I may be able to see
him tomorrow, but will most likely be next
week.
