anal sex pregnancy and period Posted: 01-25-08 13:13pm
hi, i'm on my 5th day of my period and i
had anal sex yesterday without protection
which i know was an idiotic choice but i
did it (we are both tested and healthy)
v.v i was also wearing a tampon at the
time but he was ejaculating, he was
pulling out at the same time and i could
feel that a little was leaking down to the
very mouth of my vagina. i cleaned it off
right away with soap then i changed my
tampon. Could i be pregnant? can someone
tell me the chances in this type of
scenario? thank you!

Anal sex does not cause pregnancy.

No. Not pregnant.
See, unless his sperm is super duper
special and of the variety that is
incredibly smart, there is NO WAY that
sperm made it though the tampon and into
your uterus. In addition to that, you are
ON YOUR PERIOD. So not ovulating. No egg
means no fertilization.
So even if somehow, magically, his sperm
got past the tampon and inside of you (I'm
pretty sure you wiped them off, right?) -
even IF that happened, there would be
nothing to fertilize.

You were on your period, which also
reduces - but does not ELIMINATE - your
chances of pregnancy. The tampon too acted
as a barrier. Plus, so little sperm could
have leaked down there that even if you
were ovulating and had nothing in your
vagina, you most likely wouldn't have
become pregnant.
