Hi, I am 11 week pregnant with twins and suddenly last 2-3 days I developed acute pain in left side of my throat.First it was mild , but now its kind of pinching pain, cant swallow food........the pain gets acute at night , cant sleep more than 2 hrs a day.... I am doing gargle with warm water and salt, but its not helping.Yday I used lemon, honey and water but it seemed to make it worse...... I dont want to take medications, tomorrow I wll go to Dr........ is there any way I can get rid of this????.....pls help thanks Tina

Sounds like acid reflux or GERD. Talk to your doctor about getting a medication for this, such as nexium or prilosec, which are really quite safe and will help you feel MUCH better. I would recommend a low acid diet, but sometimes it doesn't matter what you eat...you will have the problems anyways.

Or maybe tonsils? Have you had them removed?
