When can I give her cereal? Posted: 01-26-08 02:35am
Jayden's 5 weeks old and 4 oz doesn't fill
her up anymore... I'm thinking about
mixing in a bit of cereal, but Jacobs mom
doesn't remember how old her kids were
when she started. What age is okay to
start?

I have read that a lot of doctors don't
recommend it. I was told by the doctor
with Chyanne, and this one to not to have
cereal until they are 4 months old. Now
whether anyone follows that i don't know
lol. But it's hard for them to digest, and
they could choke. I would say 2 1/2-3
months at the earliest, but that's just
what i'm going to do.

I waited till 4 months. Maybe you should
start trying 6 oz instead.

Yeah, I would give her more formula.
Holly is right about doctors not
recommending giving cereal so early. Some
do and some don't. Ask your ped and see
what he/she thinks.
We waited until 4 months when we got the
ok from our ped.
