pregnancy without uterus ? Posted: 01-27-08 15:18pm


I'm a 23 year old who recently found out that she was born without a uterus & had to have surgery to remove a enlarged left ovary. I took it real hard & have made my mind up that I'm not gonna let this keep me from being a mom....which no one should let that stop them...... Is there any way I can get pregnant? I'm currently researching this so any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks Samantha

I'm sorry you have only recently discovered this. Without a uterus, there is no way to become pregnant. You can still adopt. Good luck to you!

You had an enlarged ovary removed, do you still have one good ovary? Thats the only shot at having a baby thats biologicaly yours if they can harvest some eggs from your ovary and you get a surrogate mother to carry the baby for you.

Surrogate mother is your only option at this point if you don't have a uterus. There is always adoption too, goodluck!
