white flickering in dark areas of eye
Posted: 01-27-08 22:23pm

Please note I have a history of floaters and the same thing this kid has since age 16 http://ehealthfor um.com/health/topic32003.html

anyway... I am 22 now ... for a couple weeks I have been experiencing *white flickering* .

I will just describe how it effects me- I need answers or to know if someone is having similar problems or know what is causing it.

I see fast flickering in both eyes at random times but it only seems to happen in dark spots. For example, I will be starring at a normal room, anything dark color in the room will flicker white then to the normal color then white really fast for a few seconds, then fades back to normal.

This happens often when I am laying in bed, pitch dark, in the room or while I close my eyes. I have noticed it only when its dark really, in dark areas.

Another example, in a dark room starring at LCD monitor (like i am now) in the side vision I see the flickering where its dark next to the monitor for a few seconds.... its freaking me out!!!!!!!!

Please help... this flickering seems to be random and I cannot reproduce it but its been constant every day and IS NEW.

Please note I had a fast *eye check* where the doc said my pressures were normal and he couldnt find anything wrong with my retinal. I feel he rushed thru my exam.. he was only a PA. Sad Also note this happened AFTER that exam, the exam was probably 2 months ago.
Thanks scared scared
