I am 20 y/o and I injured my knee in jan-
strained acl/mcl/lcl, distal femoral
avulsion, sublux patella. I went thru pt
for a month or so and am back to normal
except that I cannot bear any weight on
the affected knee unless it is totally
straight. Also it will occasionally lock
up and click, grind, etc. With no
warning. It is very sore at times,
particularly lateral to the patella and in
the popliteal area. I saw my ortho doc
yesterday and he scheduled arthroscopy to
check for a torn meniscus (or debris from
the avulsed bone) and a possible lateral
release.
Has anyone else had experience with this
kind of thing? If so, I would really
appreciate any input! Thanks in
advance.
I am also a lil scared about gen
anesthesia. Im usually not a crybaby, but
im afraid I wont wake up, ill get an
embolism, etc.
