Im leaving for my u/s soon... Im just so
anxious... Im really worried that baby is
gonna be naughty so I cant find out what
the sex is... Wish me luck! I dont
really care if its a boy or a girl
anymore, im just so sick of not knowing...
I wanna know now! :d

Ok im back now... Had to go to my sisters
chorus concert right after we got home
from the appt. Ok the baby was being
naughty and was all curled up in a ball...
Ive got good new and bad news... Ok ive
got another u/s cuz they couldnt get a
good enough look at the spine so we have
another chance of peekin between the legs
and the baby is healthy and growing
fine... The bad news was the doctor told
me that there is a shiny white thing that
shows up on the u/s in the heart that is
something about a calcium deposit or
something and babys with down syndrome
have it, but the doctor said that 5% of
normal babies have it too, so there is a
chance of baby having down syndrome and a
chance that it doesnt. The doctor thinks
it probably doesnt because the rest of the
baby is normal and the only way to find
out if it does or not is to get an
amnio-whatever its called (sorry I dont
know any of these technical words) and
that I have more of a chance with
complications from that amnio crap than my
baby does of having down syndrome. So I
dont think its worth risking my baby for
so im not gettin the amnio crap done and
im just gonna have to deal with the fact
that my baby might have down syndrome...
But yea didnt have much good news today at
my appt but I got some u/s pics to post...
1 is a 3d u/s! I will love my baby no
matter what and I believe god will take
care of us and I hope its one of the 5% of
normal babies... Oh yea just to clerify
5% of the normal babies doesnt mean 95%
down syndrome.. Its just 5% of the 100%
of normal babies.... If that makes
sense... Im sorry im such a blonde and am
so bad at explaining about things... Im
still a little shakin up about all this
but its my baby and I still love it. Im
gonna get my u/s pics on shutterfly now...

Do you know when you will have another
ultrasound? Im sorry things didnt go as
you hoped! Im sure your baby will be
just fine though! Do you mean 5% have
down syndrome?? Idk! But congrats on
getting to see your baby!

Ok... 5% out of all babies that are born
normal(with out anythin wrong with them)
have that calcium deposit in their heart
like what my baby has... But the calcium
thing is found commonly in down syndrome
babies because of the chromasone problem
that causes downsydrome...So it could be
that my baby could possibly have down
syndrome... Does that make more sense?...
But I really hope its not downsyndrome...
Everything else was fine, and the doc
said that if it had down syndrome they
would probably notice other things wrong
too... But everything else was fine... I
hope baby is fine!

I always try to think of the possitve
things. I have depression and I think im
helping myself more than the pills had
helped me... I always just try to think
of the positives, no need to worry about
the negatives cuz it will just cause
un-needed stress for my baby. But
thinking about it does bring me down quite
a bit... My mom always tells me to think
happy thoughts and to believe in god cuz
if I ever doubt him then the baby will
come out with down syndrome, just cuz I
doubted him.

I am sorry that there is a chance that you
baby might have down sydrome. I too did
not get the amniocentisis done, because
like you I knew that I would love my baby
regardless... I am praying for you and
you are in my thoughts
