So the midwife is in charge of your entire
care? Or do you still have a doctor for
the ultrasounds and delivery? How does
that work? I would like to have someone
there that could help me during labor you
know like she could help get my birth plan
across......what would your midwife do?

I'm pretty sure that a midwife takes the
ENTIRE place of a Dr.
The office MAY have ties with some Dr's in
case of a breech birth, etc.
A midwife is licensed to deliver as well.
And I'm positive they do u/s too!
I think a midwife and a doula would play
similar roles in labor. But I'm not sure.
Your midwife MAY set you up with a
doula...or may play the role of one!
