I just wanted to stop in and say hi to
everyone. I've been busy to say the least.
Brina's doing very well right now. We had
our first doctor appointment today. She
was 9 lbs at birth and was 8 lbs 7 oz when
we left the hospital Saturday. Today she
was 8 lbs 9 oz so she's putting some
weight back on. It should really pick up
now because my milk finally came in full
force. It was so wonderful today. We came
home from the doctor's and she was hungry.
I let her lay across my stomach and nurse.
About 30 minutes or so later I looked down
and she was asleep on my boob. It was so
cute and gave me the best feeling ever.
I'll post some new pics later this week
for everyone. Love you guys!
I can't wait to see pics! How are you feeling
mama? Is breastfeeding going well for you?
I'm getting better with it but I'm still
not producing enough for my sons demands.
:/ I got a pump and that has helped
increase my supply for some reason, so
maybe soon I can souly breastfeed him.
Guess we will see in time.

She doing well most of the time on
breastfeeding. I haven't been feeling well
though so she has had some formula. I
forgot to mention that she has an eye
infection, but her heart arrhythmia seems
to be going away.

I'm glad that you're doing well with
breastfeeding. It can be a challenge.
I'm sorry you're not feeling well. If
you're running a bit of a fever, you
should see the doc. I got a silent UTI
shortly after delivery--well, it wasn't
really silent: I had fever, nausea, just
didn't feel right, but no classic UTI
symptoms and got put on an antibiotic and
felt much better afterwards.
Good luck with the breastfeeding! It's
hard, I know, I'm breastfeeding too. The
first 6 weeks (really the first month) is
the hardest (especially growth spurts, the
baby wants to be on the boob 24/7). I
pump a bit now and usually have DH top her
off with a bottle of expressed BM last
thing at night.
