bad headache, confused, fatigue, detachment Posted: 01-29-08 11:23am
Hello, for almost a year ive been getting
a never ending amount of neurological
symptoms. They are almost 24 hours a day
and it sometimes gets so bad that i have
to just lie down until it gets a little
better...
very bad headache
Brain fog
Feeling confused
feeling of detachment from everything
fatigue
cognitive impairment
slurred speech
almost non existant memory
muscle spasms
chest pain
general feeling of unwell
Ther are probably alot more but cant think
of them right now...
They are 24 hours a day, some i can try to
deal with and 'accept' but the total
change in mental status is just too much.
It feels like i permanently dont know
where i am or whats going on...
I went to see my Gp and she sent me
straight to the hospital as she thought it
was possibly cancer, but almost all tests
came back fine (CT scan, blood tests,
chest x-ray, kidney scan aswell as alot
more) 1 blood test indicated raised levels
of calcium but the next was fine... and i
have very high blood pressure; for which i
have been give tablets for but they make
me feel almost worse. I've now been
reffered to a neurologist which i have to
wait ages to see... Iv'e since had to drop
out of university, i mean its hard to do
anything intelligent when u dont know what
planet your on most of the time! as a
result ive just been sat at home for the
last 6 months. It also gets alot worse if
i do any physical activity..
Does anyone have any idea as to what this
could be?
Anything would be much appreciated
Cheers,
Matt

Anyone have any ideas? I'm on 2 different
tablets to lower blood pressure (rampril
and amlodophine). Now i have to wait
possibly 5 months to see a neurologist
which really sucks...
Cheers,
Matt

Go to your neurologist. It sounds like you
need an EEG. A neurologist will do this.
Be sure you write down all of your
symptoms. It could be many different
things. Call the neurologists office and
tell them things are getting worse.
Perhaps they can get you in sooner. Tell
them to call you in there is a
cancellation. All the best.
