i liked my black cat, although he was a
bit evil, we had to get him declawed he
scratched up my friends leg really really
bad, but even after that he still attacked
people he just bit instead. We found our
cat outside when he was prob 2 weeks old
and the vet said he would most likely die,
we had to bottle feed him kitty milk
replacement and everything. And he grew up
into one fat cat. But when my sister had
her cats at my moms our black cat salem
got out and someone picked him up, she
thinks the neighbor mighta stole him but
that ladys a jerk and says she always had
a cat when it was after hers ran away that
she noticed one that looked like ours in
that ladies window but oh well. my parents
moved away from that apartment now
anyways.

We're getting a fence put up now (we ran
out of screws!) We're gonna fence them in
in the one corner.
It's actually REALLY hard to keep them on
a chain. He wears his chain down so much
we have to replace it every year because
the chains become so wore down they just
pull right through each other. His collar
is thick leather that's riveted about 4
times to make sure it stays together. He's
no puppy!
Aya, it's so cute when they sleep on their
paws! My cats do it too!! Talk about baby,
lol, she wants to go for a ride!
Another funny story (I got a few obviously
) We had a
ceramic cat and I was holding it in my
lap. I kept meowing and my dogs (who've
never met a cat, this was at my old house)
were wigging out, lol. They kept sniffing
at it and barking and scratching the
floor. *sigh* I miss them...

Asia is a silly little creature. She loves
to camp out on clothing, investigated
everything we brought in for the baby
(crib, car seat, stroller, glider), and
loves to snuggle at night. She's also very
good with Alyvia and patient. Alyvia loves
to pet her, and when she gets a bit rough
Asia will just sit there and take it, or
will get up and move away. She never bites
her, and will only occasionally bat at her
(and because she's declawed, there's no
danger of that hurting her).
We adore her so. She's such a good girl.

Laura, that's how my Asia is! She's sooo
tolerant of Gabe. He loves to pet her,
& he'll occassionally pull on her ears
or fur or tail, & Asia just sits there
& takes it. She follows him around
& seems to want to make sure that he
is safe <3

Marie is a really calm kitty, we took her
to school for blessing of the animals and
there were about 8 kids petting her at
once and she didnt care. Well then one kid
did try to choke her! and when I told him
to stop he hit me!! Then when I picked up
Macy she said the same lil boy hit her...
if Macy comes home telling me this kid was
mean again Im going to call and complain
that they arent watching that kid enough.
He seems like a snot

lol, his name is butt hole, but the adult
version.
De-clawing cats always seem to make them
meaner. You're taking away their form of
defense. I understand why you did (I'd be
mad if a cat shredded my leg too!). My
dad's cat completely turned after we
de-clawed him. I was so upset

In general, meaning most, not all. Yours
isn't mean at all, and my dad's was the
meanest I've ever seen.

I'm just responding to your comment that
"declawing cats always seems to make them
meaner". I'm letting you know that it
isn't always true.

my kitty swampie is declawed but Marie
isnt. My mom decided as long as she didnt
claw anyone or the furniture shed leave
them cuz she feels bad for swampie.
I prefer to keep them trimmed instead of
taking them out. but then again I like
taking my animals to the groomers. its fun
to take them in public and see how pretty
they are afterwards.

My kitty is an inside kitty and I REFUSE
to declaw her.
If we were to declaw her and she got out,
HOW would she defend herself??
Her sharp "inside"claws are WAAAY sharper
than ANY outside cats claws.

LOL Dani. I have that picture as my
screen saver at work and about 4 people
have said "ahh...when did you get a new
puppy?"
My mil gave that figurine to me and the
day that I put it up in my china cabinet
which has glass windows. She came out of
the bedroom and saw it and instantly
smashed her nose up to the glass. So I
took it out and got the camera and said
"Kaira...whats that?" and she made that
face at it.
It was WAY to cute and the pic doesnt do
it justice

I definitely don't advocate declawing cats
just for the heck of it. We declawed Asia
because she was way too violent when she
played. I have multiple scars on my
forearms from the massive scratches she
gave me when she was a baby. We declawed
her front paws only, and had it done at
the same time as her spay. She never
seemed to notice - she seemed sore from
her spay but that's about it.
Declawing was a good decision for us, and
I feel we made the choice for the right
reasons. I wouldn't push declawing on
anybody who was opposed to it, but I DO
want to say that declawing does not always
make a cat more violent.

I think this is the most common form of
miscommunication on the web. Many people
understand generalizations to mean "all"
or "every single one", and many people
who write posts using generalizations do
not mean "all" or "every single one", at
all.

My kitty is a BITER! LOL!
I can understand why MANY MANY people
declaw their kitties. ESP if the kitty has
no urge to get outside.
But Jazmine will B line STRAIGHT for the
door as soon as it opens. And she's spent
the night outside when she escaped.
We heard a cat fighting and I was just
greatful that she HAD her claws. Even
though it wasn't her...that's the FIRST
thing that popped into my head.
