nesting after pregnancy? Posted: 01-31-08 17:40pm
Alright, I know it sounds strange.
I am having a belated nesting phase. At
least I feel like it. My son is almost
ready to crawl. He will probably be
crawling in a week from now. I am NOT
prepared. The house has been in shambles.
For the past two days, all I have been
doing is cleaning like mad and organizing.
I never knew we had so many socks hidden
in various places.
Anyone else go through this right before
they knew their little one was going to
"take off!" I just can't stop organizing
and preparing. There are so many things in
this house that would be considered a
hazard for him....so many. With Nate's
stuff everywhere, and a semi-open floor
plan between the living and family room -
I am going crazy. Not too mention just so
many outlets and the dangerous cheap
blinds we have in this house. It was much
easier when we lived in the other house in
AZ with Nathan. We had an open floor plan
there but there was only one room.
I think I am going to get three gates to
close everything off to one room. In
addition, I need to find a good fireplace
gate. Anyone have suggestions for these?

Hey Karin! No worries! It will happen
again when they start walking! There are
some really great accordian style gates
that you can use as play yards or to fence
off naughty portions of your home such as
the fireplace, stairs, torture chamber,
etc. I actually have an excellent one
that i will send you if you want. PM me
if you want it-freebie.
