Well, there's your problem! Posted: 01-31-08 23:43pm
As most of you know, I've been living
without water for about a month now. We've
now had two professionals over and all
they've told us is we probably have a leak
somewhere in the line. They spent a total
of 10 hours here and about $150 of our
dollars to tell us this. So we dug up the
line and found the ground to be wet. So
there was obviously a 'crack' somewhere.
Heat tape is basically the same design as
a heating pad, only it goes around piping
to keep it from freezing. We had this
wrapped around about 4-5 feet of piping
and instillation. Then on top of that, we
had more instillation. Unwrapped the outer
layer to find this...
That would be a melted pipe from the heat
tape. So trying to prevent something
caused a HUGE mess. That's about two
inches of pipe just melted together.
HOPEFULLY, after replacing this, we now
have water. I'll update after I get a nice
hot shower! (may be tomorrow)

well... pipes replaced, but for some
reason, the pump is not building enough
pressure so no shower here,
but Earl's employer let us take a shower
at their office So nice and
clean for me!!! As soon as we get water,
I'll be sure to post about it!!!
Thank you!!!

oh don't even get me started on it's
always something. Not even the water. My
friend had to drive out of his way to a
hospital to get an MRI. Because he had to
drive himself, they would give him travel
pay ($20 to help for gas). He gets there
at 4pm. Waits and hour and then come tell
him the MRI machine broke, THIS MORNING.
Didn't call, nothing. But because he
didn't get his MRI, they couldn't give him
the $20.
*sigh* everything is just downhill it
seems. Plus I think there's a mudslide on
the way.... (metaphorically speaking)

Why would he get travel pay? I've never
heard of that... Everyone goes to the
doctor...
