I'm just curious as to everyone's experience giving birth (or if you haven't given birth yet, your decision about how you will).

How did you decide which method was best for you? Are you glad you picked that method? Are there any regrets?

Has anyone use one method for one child and another method for a different child? What were the differences? Did you feel more cared for or more safe in any particular situation?

I've only given birth in a hospital, so I have nothing to compair it to, but I have always felt comfortable and safe. When this baby comes in July I'll have her in the hospital also. I do enjoy having family and friends there with me while I'm laboring.

i gave birth to william in a hospital. didnt really think otherwise about it. this time, i'm going to give birth in the hospital again because i was relaxed last time round and i was safe to know that i had help just in case i needed it.
my friends sister has had a hospital birth and home birth and prefers the home birth because she says she was more relaxed. shes having a water birth this time round.
i would rather a home birth but i know bobby would freak out too much and well both be more relaxed in hospital

i gave birth in a hospital!! i live near a fairly small country town so there arnt as many babies born there so you are able to stay for as long as you feel you need too. I stayed for 4 days.

I would never have a home birth or in a birthing centre to me that is too risky. I guess it all depends on if you want pain releif or not!! i didnt want to of course but ended up going for the gas. It was just nice to know that it was available.

The nurses were amazing....dont think i could have done it without them couching me through and at night after she was born they would take care of her and when it was time for a feed they would wake me up and take her again when she was done.
