Period during pregnancy ? Posted: 02-02-08 00:51am
Can you have a full/normal period during
pregnancy?
My story.. We intentionally had
unprotected sex throughout
my ovulation/fertile stage. Since
then..my period came &
was 5 days normal & came EXACTLY on time.
Needless to
say, I do not believe I am pregnant. YET
there are soooo
many tales of women who experience NORMAL
periods & find
out that they are indeed pregnant.
My best friend had TWO normal flows that
came on time
without incident. She broke up with her
boyfriend during
the 1st period & was more then happy to
have TWO normal
periods after unprotected sex. 1 day, we
offered support to
a 3rd friend by taking pregnancy tests
with her. She was
5 days late.
My best friend's test was the only 1 to
pop up positive. We
laughed it off, went clubbing that night
to celebrate. Even
got drunk. We were ALL cig. smokers &
that was added
to our celebration.
My best friend had NOOOOO symptoms of
being pregnant.
But went to her doctor a week later just
to be on the safe
side. She was almost due for an annual
check up anyway.
Low & behold she was pregnant with her 2nd
child,
who just turned 15 years old in Dec 07.
HAS THIS HAPPENED 2u? Or anything similar?
Whether
you had only 1, 2, or even 5 NORMAL
PERIODS? Not light
pinkish of brownish bleeds. NORMAL
PERIODS.
What I am searching for, are not tales of
light bleeding &
irregular bleeding. I am specifically
seeking women
who find out that they are pregnant
AFTER...
1) a NORMAL flow, for a NORMAL length of
time/days,
with close to NO SYMPTONS or suspicion of
pregnancy.
2) Decidual bleeding?
Please share your stories and shed some
light on
the rare yet sometimes common (in family
circles)
occurrence of having a period during
pregnancy, as
I am sure there are others who could use
some insight
with this subject.
I look forward to what we will find by the
end of the week.
HAPPY TCC!! Ladies!!!

It is NOT a period they are experiencing.
That is physically IMPOSSIBLE. It is just
first trimester bleeding similar to
period.
A period occurs when the uterus sheds its
lining, if that were to happen while
pregnant, its called a miscarriage.
You cannot shed your uterus lining and
remain pregnant.

i had watched a tv show a few months
ago...& there was a college aged girl
on the show who had normal bleeding for
her entire 9 months of pregnancy..she
didnt even know she was pregnant until the
day she went into labor because she was on
the heavier side..so0 she just thought she
was gaining some eight as usual!! she
started getting shooting pains through her
stomach and she had no one to help her
because she dormed at the college alone.
she ended up delivering her baby in her
dorm room. a healthy baby girl who they
showed on the show. it was incredible.
unlikely, yes. but i guess there are those
rare miracle babies out there..weird huh?
