low libido after vaginal tear
Posted: 02-02-08 09:58am

okay so, during sex about 7-8 months ago i experienced what i believe to be some sort of rip or tear about an inch into the vagina. since then, sexual intercourse has been very painful. before the incident i had an over-active sex drive but, since.. my sex drive has been dropping and it is now at an all time low.

my question is, my boyfriend has a very high sex drive. when i don't give him sex for an extended period of time, i feel bad. i feel like i need to take a very long break from sex but, when i tell him that.. it seems to go in one ear and out of the other. is it wrong to withhold sex from my boyfriend for over a month.. when he's used to getting it every day?

It is never "wrong" to abstain from sexual activity if that is your choice. You have a vaginal tear that causes you pain during intercourse. Your bf should care enough about you to ensure that your health and well being come first. You need to love yourself enough to take care of YOU first and foremost. If this guy can't allow you the time to heal then he is not worth another thought. Asking you or pressuring you to have intercourse is disrespectful at the very least and is without regard to you and your needs and desires. He will not die if he doesn't have sex for awhile.

I hope you tell him NO and let yourself heal. You deserve better!

haha i have the same problem with my husband sometimes. i believe i'm allergic to latex so i get cuts and scratches from sex and takes 4 days or more to heal. he's better at not asking all the time now, but sometimes i have to remind him how much it hurts. sometimes i just go with it and stop half way through cause it will get too painful. well good luck. hope you can heal. you'll feel much better.

i don't know what it is about men but you kinda have to boss them around a little or else you wont get anything done.
