You'll need to start learning your body's
cycle. Figure out how long your cycle is
and whether it's regular, and use an
online calculator to determine when you
might ovulate. Have sex a few days before
you ovulate, and every day until after you
do. (If your boyfriend has a low sperm
count, you might want to have sex every
other day instead.)
It can take up to a year for a couple to
conceive, so don't fret if it doesn't
happen immediately.
Good luck.

If you're irregular, perhaps you should
start temping. It takes a little while to
establish and you'll have to get yourself
into the habit of taking your temperature
at the same time every morning before you
get out of bed and start moving around,
plus you have to chart your temps for a
cycle or two... but it should help you
figure out when you're actually ovulating
and give you a better chance at getting
pregnant. Or maybe you should ask your
gyno for tips on how to regulate your
cycle.

Basically what you would be doing is
checking what your body temperature is at
the same time every morning, before you
get up and start moving around (which
increases it). When you ovulate, your
temperature raises slightly. So when you
learn what your "normal" temperature
usually is, you should be able to figure
out "Oh, it's higher than normal! I must
be ovulating!"
It takes a cycle or two to really get the
hang of it and be able to recognize the
signs of ovulation.

You need a basal body thermometer and you
can find tons of books on the subject. As
well as online charts.

If you haven't yet, download Ovusoft's
fertility software. They have a free
trial, and I like their program the best
out of any I have ever found. You can
also use it to NOT get pregnant as well,
but where's the fun in that
Good luck!

Or you could just do it the old fashioned
way and have sex every other day

I highly suggest using Ovulation
Predictors. They are alittle pricey,
(about $15-20 per pack at the drugstore)
but they will tell you if your ovulating.
I wish I would have used them the first
month I started ttc because I do not
ovulate on my own. I come close, and
temping never worked for me, but they told
me in 1 month what I needed to know, and I
was able to make an appointment with my
dr. and get it straightened out.
Good luck to you!

I suggest going to fertilityfriend.com and
signing up. They have a free membership as
well as a vip. They will send you
tutorials and they have some great
references. A lot of us use that site and
really like it.
Hopefully we will be able to help with any
of your charting questions.
Have you been to your dr for a pre-ttc
consult? It is very basic, but I highly
suggest it.
Have you started taking prenatal vitamins
yet?

go to downloads.com and type in ovusoft
fertility software. It's easy to use, and
it even tells you what chance of pregnancy
you have for that month on each of the
days you bd and all kinds of other stuff
like that. The trial is 15 days, and
after that you must purchase it to
continue to use it. I'd say its worth it
though. There are many stories of people
getting pregnant with it on the first try
because it really is simple and lets you
understand what's going on with your
cycle.
Oh, and she's right... you really should
start taking prenatal vitamins the month
before you conceive. You can take a
multivitamin like women's one a day (it
contains 100% of the amount of folic acid
you need, the vitamin that's really
important in pregnancy, and it doesn't
contain a lot of the "bad" vitamins that
can be harmful in large amounts), or you
can just go to walmart and get prenatal
vitamins off the supplement aisle. You
don't even need a prescription.

They are beside all the regular
multivitamins at walmart and they have
about three different types you can get.
They are just called prenatal vitamins.
