I have sharp pains on the side of my head,
sometimes it moves to the top of my head &
it hurts when I just touch my hair at that
spot. It goes away for a while but it
comes back. Sometimes just yawning makes
the sharp pain or just sitting doing
nothing causes it too. I haven't had this
type of pain in a few years. What causes
this & also can this be cured? Any
medication for this type of headache.
Thank you.
Diagnosis of the headache can be
established according to:
1. Headache description: lasting,
beginning, frequency, localization,
provocative factors, additional
symptoms…
2. Clinical examination: neurological
status, blood pressure, eye pressure, eye
bottom…
3. Blood analyses: blood count,
sedimentation, creatinin, urea, Ca, K and
Na ions, thyroxin, TSH, glucose…
4. X-ray of the sinuses, and
5. MRI/CT scans of the head and lumbar
punition.
You may want to consult your GP first and
other specialists (ENT, neurologist…) if
necessary.
