Diaper and bottle ?
Posted: 02-04-08 03:44am

First. should I wake Jay up at night to change her diaper? I'm worried if I let her sleep & change it when she wakes up for a bottle it's really unsanitary, but when I change her diaper she wakes up and it takes me forever to get her back to sleep.

Second, I accidentally left one of Jay's bottles out after I fed her, it sat out for over 24 hours and I don't feel like me washing it in hot water is getting it clean. Should I toss it or could I get it sanitized like new by boiling it?

My kids used to sleep through night time nappy/diaper changes. Just be really gentle and slow and Jayden might be the same.

Also, Layla threw one of her bottles down the side of the cot one time and I didn't find it til 24 hours later when I put her to bed. I just emptied it down the toilet (it was all lumpy) and left it with boiling water for half hour, then washed it out and put it in the steriliser. It was fine

She wakes up the second I lift her up Rolling Eyes Kid can sleep through the fire alarm, but the second anyone touches her she's up Laughing

I don't have a sterilizer... do you think boiling it is fine alone?

I'm not sure. I started boiling when they were around 6 months old but before that I sterilised. Is it possible for you to get one?

Putting them in boiling water is the same as sterilizing them. Just make sure that you keep the water on the burner so it keeps boiling.

Also when my kids started sleeping through the nights I sure didn't want to do anything that would wake them up. I would wait until morning to change them . Unless they had a poop. I would be too afraid of it becoming a habit for her and than she will wake up all the time.

I changed Kaylee's diapers whenever she would wake up. I could never do it while she was sleeping & actually keep her asleep lol!
