Posted: 02-04-08 12:08pm

Okay i shake when i sleep! not my whole body, but at times my head bounces up and down. it doesnt wake me up or anything! but usually my leg shakes every night! this has been happening ever since i was 4 or 5 yrs old! I have asked doctors whats wrong with me bu they ignore my questions every time! and it happens whilke i am asleep, i don't even know it happens, it doesnt even wake me up! but i always ask my fiancee "did i shake tonight" and every day she says "yes, i do". I'm scared it might be something bad! Please i just want to find out what is wrong with me. And get it fixed. When i was a child it started out with my head shaking, and the older i got the lower down my body the shaking would go, but last week my head started doing it again. PLEASE HELP ME FIGUER THIS OUT. I did research on RLS but i can go to sleep, my legs do not bother me before i fall asleep. it happens when i am asleep!

Thank you, i pray you can help me!!!!!!

Any head bouncing or shaking legs while sleeping should be checked and monitored by a neurologist in a hospital. It's not possible to give you a diagnosis now because your description is based only on your girlfriend’s testimony that you’ve been shaking while sleeping. Shaking during sleep (if you are not cold), could be due to neurological seizures or a psychiatric disorder (dissociative disorder, nightmares…). You can consult a neurologist to inquire about the necessary diagnostic examination and to schedule an appointment to get the condition checked out.
