Blood tests to get blood pressure meds Posted: 02-04-08 18:28pm
I have been taking the same blood pressure
medicine for 7 years now. (Inderal). The
doctor that has been prescribing it to me
is no longer available. Any other doctor,
including my ob/gyn won't refill my
prescription without blood work. I have
never had to have blood work before. It
has been working all these years, why do I
need tests now?
I don't have insurance, so I'm a little
irritated about having to pay extra just
to get the same thing I've been taking for
so long, with no problems.

I guess the new doctors want to insure
them selfs that you aren't suffering from
some conditions that are contraindications
for Inderal.
Blood tests will give them informations
about your liver, kidney, thyroid
functions which are important to know if
taking Inderal will be safe.
