Tendinopathy Subscapularis
Posted: 02-05-08 00:08am

Hi,
as you can tell i've been diagnosed with Tendinopathy Subscapularis. I've had this bad shoulder for about 3 years now, caused by my mate twisting my arm back too far. I was wondering about some effective treatment to relieve the pain and stiffness i experience everyday. So far the only thing that seems to help are glucozamine and condrioton tablets and i dont even have athritis! I've seen a physio who gave me a resistance band to exercise with but unfortunately it has been unsuccessful despite the pain it causes to work out with. Swimming only seems moderately helpful and only relieves the pain for the day i swim on. I also practice Tai chi but it doesn't seem to relieve the pain and stiffness either. Have you guys got any advice that might help?
Kind regards
Dan

I'd suggest that you get an MRI of he shoulder to identify possible damage to cartilage, tendons and/or ligaments. Physical activity that causes pain is NOT good, as the shoulder joint is the most flexible and prine to injury than any other joint.
