Thyroid and a healthy baby Posted: 02-05-08 18:24pm
Letter to the Editor,
After living with hypothyroidism for
almost 25 years, I began researching this
condition. It affects every part of the
body and can cause immense suffering. It
may lead to other autoimmune diseases and
many other very serious conditions as it
is used by every cell in the body. The
thyroid produces TSH which is a hormone
seldom mentioned.
Have your thyroid checked as it is thought
to possibly cause ADD, Downs Syndrome and
other birth defects of your baby during
pregnancy.
