Hi! I Joined Today.. I Just Found Out That I'm Pregnant Posted: 04-30-04 02:15am
Hi! Every one! I am 22 years old, I
joined today because I just found out that
I am pregnant. This is my first prgnancy
so i'm scared and I really need someone to
talk to! If I have a girl I want to name
her kiara jade, but no one I know likes
that name. My whole family thinks it
sounds like a black girls name. (no
offense) but why does a name have to sound
black or white ar irish or any thing like
that. Why can't a pretty name, just be a
pretty name? I am going to leave a poll
question to see what you guys think of the
name kiara jade and any one who just wants
to talk will be appreciated also! Thanks!

I like the name kiara.. Its unique,
something that I would definitely consider
for myself (when the time comes)..However
I like names that are different and not
really heard of such as my own (teagan).
Ultimately the choice of what you name
your little one is up to you, and so if
you like the name it shouldn't really
matter what everyone else thinks, it won't
cause them to love the lil one any less

I haven't had a baby but I have been a
shoulder to cry on for friends who have
had the same problem - relatives said
'don't be stupid, you can't call your baby
that!
What they found is that once the baby was
born and they stuck by their guns and
named the baby, people soon kept their
mouth shut and said no more - probably
because they saw the baby as an individual
rather than an unborn child so I think you
will find that once your baby is born, you
will find the same.
Personally, I think it's a very pretty
name - not only pretty but unusual too.
Well I was doing some research on the net
and found out that kiara is an irish
name. My mother promised me that if it's
orgin was any thing other then african
decent like she thinks it is, then she'll
let me name the baby kiara. So that is
what it will be named, that is if it is a
girl, I am only 8 weeks, so it is still
too early to tell, I just really want it
to be a girl but if it is a boy I am going
to name him dakota I guess it doesn't
matter as long as it is healthy. I am so
afraid of miscarriage. I had a
miscarriage when I was only 13 years old,
and my little sister who is 18 years old
just had a miscarriage back in june, then
she got pregnant again right away and she
gave birth to a healthy baby boy last
month, she named him teagan ashton. I
know I have to think positive but a
possiblility of a miscarriage is always on
my mind. I appreciate any response, I
really need some one to talk to.
