early delivery after two stillbirths Posted: 02-05-08 19:49pm
Hi, I have a small question. In 2003 I
got pregnant and my pregnancy was normal.
At 37 weeks I did not feel my baby move
at all, so I did everything in the book to
motivate her to move, but nothing. I went
to the hospital and they could not find
her heart beat. It was the wrost thing I
have ever been through. After getting
better and when I stopped being depressed
I got pregnant with my second child at 5
months after my loss. I was really closed
monitored. He was born at 37 1/2 weeks.
In march 2007 my partner and I planned to
get pregnant again, but after 2 weeks of
finding out we were pregnant I had a
miscarriage. I did not wait to get a
period again and decided to try again and
got pregnant again the next month.
Everything was perfect. At 20 weeks the
ultrasound showed it was a girl. At 32
weeks I went in to the hospital because I
was having contractions. In a few
contractions the baby's heartrate when
down, so they did an ultrasound that
lasted for ever. They checked the cord,
the fluid, everything. At 36 weeks I did
not feel any movement so my heart started
to fear the wrost. I walked, ate, laid in
bed for long time and nothing. I went to
the hospital, I was so nervous that my
heart rate was so elevated that they
thought I was ill. They did not find her
heart rate and they did two different
ultrasounds, but she was gone. With my
first girl they did an aptopsy and tests
but everything came back normal. At the
beginning we thought it was going to be
the same. When I delivered her, her cord
was so twisted that it was amazing that
she survived to 36 weeks. We want to try
to get pregnant again in a year because
now I am still suffering my loss, since it
just happened 7 weeks ago and my body
needs to get back to prepregnancy status.
I really want to deliver my future
pregnancy at 36 weeks, but I do not know
if it is risky. At my 6 week check up my
midwife and I talked about it, but it
seemed she did not agree with me. I know
that the causes are different, but my
heart will be at rest if I knew I will
deliver before 36 weeks, especially if I
find out it is a girl. Should I see a
specialist or what do I do.
