Starting to get irritating... Posted: 02-07-08 10:04am
My husband has found a couple of vehicles
on craigslist that he interested in. I
have been trying for 3 days to contact
these people. There is no phone number on
the listing, just the reply to email
address. No one has replied back to me.
We should have our tax refund back next
week and we are planning on putting it
towards a more reliable vehicle for my
husband. But, I'm really starting to get
discouraged with craigslist. Has anyone
used, and had GOOD luck, with craigslist?

We've never bought a vehicle from
craigslist. But my dh has sold a couple
cars through there. (he also advertises
his buss through there) I know *we* we
realiable, lol, but I can't really give
any other opinions. Maybe they have
already sold the cars and don't want to
get back with you? I know it can be slow
on the weekends but there really is no
excuse during the week.
I'm sorry they are being so frustrating.
All I can say is keep looking and try to
respond to them within a day or two. (so
just stalk the boards)
What kind of car is he looking for?

I've been an avid stalker!! I have never
had this much trouble with the site
before. Usually any questions have been
answered within 24 hours. If they have
already sold them, it would be nice if
they sent out a little message saying so!
He has a 1997 Dodge truck with about 180K
miles on it now. He is having to replace
something seems like every other day.
With kids, he just needs something more
reliable. We have been looking at a
little bit newer trucks or suv's. We need
something that we can fit 3 kids into, 2
of which are in car seats.

Thats so annoying! I ordered something
online middle of last month, had an email
to confirm my order but nothing to let me
know if its being processed or when it
will be dispatched, I've sent the company
2 emails now and am waiting to hear back
from them....

Why would you be annoyed with craig's
list, though? Why not be annoyed at the
people who placed the ad and who are not
responding?
It's probably sold if they aren't
responding. Sometimes people just let
their ads expire after their item is sold.

It is the people who listed that I'm
annoyed with. If they list an item on
there, they should respond whether it's
sold or not. I emailed 4 different people
about 4 different vehicles, and haven't
heard a word back on ANY of them. Going
on day 4 now....

I reluctantly phoned the company I was
talking about, today, and they said they
emailed me to say the item was currently
out of stock (yeah right then why didnt I
get it when I got their first email!?) and
they tried to phone me...w/e. I cancelled
my order, I'll get it somewhere else.
