Nuchal Translucency Test Results Posted: 02-07-08 20:21pm
I just had my first trimester nucal
translucency test today and read the info.
that the technicial wrote down after the
test.
It showed that my baby has a nuchal
translucency of 1mm and the baby's length
from crown to rump is 56mm. I am 39 years
old and the gestational age of the baby is
12 weeks/1 day. Can anyone tell me if this
is normal?

Hi there
I'm also 39 years old and 12 weeks today.
I go for my NCT scan next week...I found
this info online for you. Your results
look normal.
"An NT measurement of up to 2.0mm is
normal at about 11 weeks, and up to about
2.8mm by 13 weeks and 6 days. This is
because the NT normally grows in
proportion to the growth of the baby"

As long as the NT is under 3mm at any time
we consider it normal, unless it is in the
upper limits (2.9mm) and there are other
obvious abnormalities.
