constipated with bloody hard stools Posted: 02-07-08 23:07pm
I am confused. I have been extremely
constipated for the last couple of months.
Nothing I do helps. I have tried taking
metamucil daily, and it does nothing. I
tried laxatives, stool softeners, you name
it and NOTHING works. Absolutely nothing.
I try to eat things high in fiber and
nothing works. I drink a lot of water and
work out daily and this doesn't help
either. I am sick of feeling so bloated
all of the time and I am trying to lose a
few pounds right now and I have found that
this little problem is making that
impossible.
When I do have a bowel movement, the
stools are extremely hard. There's blood
and they are covered in mucus usually.
It's disgusting...
I am only 18, so I doubt it could be colon
cancer or something as major as that, but
really, what could this be? Should I see a
doctor?

I'd suggest you see a gastro-enterologist.
These specialists can help with a
straight allopathic diagnosis. Or, see a
colonic therapist. These are also
specialists, just with a different take on
"medicine and the causes for intestinal
issues (are you literally holding onto
some crap in your life : emotional, that
is?).

The Hidden Dangers of Constipation Posted: 03-03-08 14:59pm
The digestive system is one of the most
important body systems, simply because it
process foods through chemical and
mechanical digestion, and it transport
nutrients to the blood to sustain life. A
healthy digestive system is one of the key
components to achieving optimal health,
yet it is one area of the body that is
ignored and to which so many pay little
attention. It is not surprising that so
many North Americans are having quite the
challenge experiencing bowel movements
with any regularity. An activity that
should be done without effort, assuming
the mechanical action is happening, has
become a source of great discomfort. Some
may find it embarrassing to have
discussions pertaining to the topic of
colon health; however, this condition
needs to be addressed before the condition
deteriorates.
I dont know whether or not you are
familiar with the Aloe Vera Gel but many
have found tremendous relief from using
this liquid that cleanses that intestinal
walls. I never had chronic constipation
but since I started drinking it I have
also experienced better bowel movement.
