I have a serious question regarding a
contraceptive mistake
So, my gf finished her period on Tuesday
28 Jan and we had sex on Sat the 2nd of
Feb. Unfortunately while having sex the
condom tore and Im not sure if i came
inside, outside or if I came at all since
i was abit tipsy. Her next period starts
on Friday 22nd Feb, 20 days after the
sexual encounter.
my question is what are the chances that i
got my gf pregnant, keeping in mind that
the sexual encounter occured 6 days before
the possible ovulation period?
All comments are appreciated.
Thanks guys

It IS possible..
She should have taken the morning after
pill, which would have prevented that
ovulation from happening.
Since you do not know if you came inside
of her, it is best to treat it like you
did, to be on the safe side.
Condoms are not really the best choice for
birth control, because mishaps seem to be
easily made.
HAVE you considered birth control pills?
Or maybe adding a 'today sponge' along
with the condom?

No way to tell how likely it is, though it
is less likely then it would be if you had
sex, say, now.
If you are relying on condoms, it is a
good idea to keep some plan b around for
cases like this. It's pretty easy to get.

You're never 100% sure when a woman
ovulates. Sometimes she'll ovulate more
than once in a month! Georgia is right;
plan b is always a great thing to keep
around just in case of emergencies like
this. If you are 18, they are at most
pharmacies (although its usually pretty
pricy...about 50 dollars. but hey, that's
much cheaper than a baby!). They also
give it out at Planned Parenthood during
certian hours.
If you would like to see if she is
pregnant, you should wait at least 14 days
until after she had unprotected sex to
take a pregnancy test.
It doesn't seem highly likely that she's
pregnant, but there is still the
possibility so make sure she takes care of
herself until she finds out for sure.

Most likely she's not pregnant, but you
never know. She can have an IUD inserted
up to 7 days after sex with a 99% chance
of not becoming pregnant. I dont know what
the percent is after 7 days, but maybe
call planned parenthood and ask for
advice.
