Just the Truth: Abortion & Mothers Life Posted: 04-30-04 22:11pm
"abortion is war on women, cleverly
disguiesd as promotion fo their rights.
The truth is that abortin is never
neccessary, and has devastating physical
and mental effects on mothers."
"as obstetetricians and gynecologists, we
affirm that there is no medical
circumstances justifying direct abortion,
that is circumstances in which the life of
the mother may only be saved by directly
terminating the life of her unborn child"
eamon o'dwyer, prof of obstetrics &
gynecology, ucg
david jenkins, prof of obstetrics &
gynecology, ucc
kieran o'driscoll, prof of obstetrics
& gynecology, ucd
julia vaughan, consultant obstetrian &
gynecologist,
wher abortion is not an option, for
example in ireland doctors must channel
their skills and energies into saving
lives rather than resorting to the "bad"
medicine of abortion. Proof that this
situation is more beneficial to both
mother and child can be seen in the united
nations report(1993) stating "ireland is
the safest place in the world for a mother
to have a baby"
modern medicine
ectopic pregnancy is where a pregnancy
remains in the fallopian tube. It is
extremely rare in nature. The removal of an
ectopic pregancy is not in the abortion
debate and has never been considered as
such. Modern medicine has allowed doctors
to take the baby from the fallopian tube
and succesfully place it in the womb
pre-eclamptic toxemia is high blood
presure with general swelling which may
lead to fits. This condition is now
completely managable. It generally
occures in the second half of pregnancy.
When severe, an early delievery will be
induced which will save the life of both
the mother and her child.
In modern medicine, mothers do not die.
Mothers are at risk only if they attened
"pro choice" doctors. High blood presure,
kidney and heart diseases respond to
treatment. To suggest as "pro choice"
doctors do abortion for high blood presure
is like cutting of a foot for an ingrown
toe nail.
Heart disease.
The incidence of heart disease in
pregnancy is extreamly low. In the
largest maternity hospital in europe
(holles st hospital in dublin) there were
558 cases of heart condition (both mild
and severe) to 159,680 births between 1969
and 1990 abortion would not have benefited
any of these mothers.
Numerous reports of heart surgery durring
pregnancy include succesful correction of
most types of congenital and acuired
cardiac disease. Maternal mortality is
dependant on the specific nature of the
procedure being performed and is not
increased in pregnancy. Succesfull
pregnancy following heart transplantation
has also been reported.

i would love to know where you got this
information. Everything I have ever read
or heard from a doctor states that ectopic
pregnancies cannot be moved. They do not
accept the new location and will not
implant at the new location, but instead,
just pass out of the mother's body even
when relocation is attempted.

Samie This Is Debate Material!! Posted: 05-15-04 13:25pm
Since samie insists on crusading where she
knows she shouldn't I will
post to lend support to those who come
here seeking help, understanding &
empathy rather than abuse &
denunciation.
Samie's on a one woman mission to make any
woman who ever considers abortion much
less has one feel like the worst scum ever
created, she views all such women &
any person who is pro-choice as homicide
ers. She is like those religious fanatics
who can quote the bible at will, but only
know or acknowledge the parts that suit
there particular views, so samie
says/tells the information that supports
her views & totally disregards any
information (& certainly disregards
any woman's feelings/needs etc) that might
remotely suggest that there are times when
abortion is warranted.
Samie's problem is that she had an
abortion & she feels quilty/sorry etc
about it so now she wants everyone who has
had, may have or who is pro-choice to
suffer with her. That way she thinks
& is trying to pass on her feelings of
guilt to others.
The simple fact is that everyone is
different & so are the circumstances
of everyone & so the decision that is
right/wrong is different for each person
& also different in each case for each
person. In other words what is right for
me on one occasion may not be on another
even though it may appear that my
circumstances are the same.
Women do die in childbirth today all over
the world. They die due to problems
caused by being pregnant, problems which
occur during labour & problems which
occur after the birth.
samie & other anti-choice activists
conveniently forget that until very
recently thousands of babies self-aborted
(miscarried) due to their inability to
survive - this was gods way of reducing
the drain seriously retarded children have
on their families & society biut now
medical science makes it possible for
these babies to survive. In many cases
this is wonderful :d but in some cases
medical science should butt out & let
nature take it's course.
Since medical science has decreed that it
is the new god (whether the dr is pro-or
anti-choice) women themselves deserve the
right to be able to make the decisions
which are right for them & which they
believe to be right for their family &
the child they are carrying.

who doesn’t understand what women go
through

rights
we are never called

2. Experienced women with a unique and
very valid point of view
3. Women who appreciate children and
recognise the wonderful gift of life

If you are so into name calling that it
