Ice Pick Headaches Posted: 05-02-04 08:12am
Hi avalerion
i suffer from what my neuro calls ice pick
headaches. They are very painful and I
get them between 3 and 12 times an hour.
Though I get them on both sides of my
head, at the front. I sometimes get them
in my eye, or right behind it.
I am also a second year student at uni and
I know what you mean about using the
computer a lot. However, in my case I
don't think its related. The only thing
I find that can make them worse is
chocolate. And perhaps some lectures
(using the overhead projecter?). I am
trying amitriptyline at the moment, but
for me, it hasn't had any affect so far,
though this differs in different people.
If I was you, I would go to the doctor, it
may just be tension headaches, but it's
always best to get these things checked
out.
Hope this helps
cheers
beks
