Philadelphia Chromosome Posted: 05-01-04 22:42pm
Hi,
i have a cousin who has acute lymphacitic
leukemia, but also has the philadelphia
chromosome causing all kinds of resistance
to the chemo.
Is this normal, and can anyone give any
kind of vague or general outlook in terms
of a prognosis? She's 43 years of age.
Sincerely,
r. Frierson

All P+ Is Similar to Cll (but Cureable) Posted: 04-09-05 15:51pm
It basically means that the cancer is
coused by a genetic chromosone break that
probably will be hard to get shot of with
just chemo, you'll need a full bone marrow
transplant which wasn't plesant for me at
29 in fact i'm really not sure if I would
rather have passed away...
Certainley if it comes back again I won't
be queing up for a doner.
