Molar pregnancy w/ clear uterus
Posted: 02-08-08 18:21pm

I get pregnant and i have an ultrasound which shows that there was no embrion but only two little “rooms”, I have a HCG which wasn’t good, and my doctor said this is a molar pregnancy. I had an intervention to clear my uterus and I take some medicals to avoid infection and then I take the results from the insemination of the tissue taked from my uterus and they results ok there wasn’t any infection or mole so everything was ok.I wait 6 month before trying to conceive. I have an ultrasound to see the result of the cleaning of my uterus and again everything result ok.the doctor gave me some contraceptive pill to take for only one month because I have my periods irregullar( they came every month but with some days later from the 28 days of the regular cycle) and folic acid. I take them the first day of my cycle in 28 november, I have the period next month in22 december and then I have a retardation but they came in 30 january. Is any problem getting pregnant after that?

You should first identify the reason for menstrual cycle irregularity. If cycle irregularity is due to lack of ovulation, then you won't be able to get pregnant.

Oral contraceptives regulate menses cycles and create a regular rhythm for monthly bleeding, but although regular, during the menstrual cycles you are not ovulating. It is believed that after a woman stops taking oral contraceptives, the cycles will remain regular and you will not ovulate for some time. But this doesn’t happen always. If ovulation is not re-established, the menstrual cycles can become irregular again. You can measure your basal temperature or use an ovulation predictor tests to confirm if you are ovulating, or not.
