Am I 2 Months...or 4?
Posted: 05-02-04 07:46am

I just recently found out that I am pregnant, I had a suspicion for a while that I was. My last real full five day period was in december. In january I had a really light, day and a half period, I thought I was going to skip my period for february but the it came on the very last day in february and it too was a very light, day and a half period. Then I skipped march and april totally, which of course prompt me to go to the doctor to get a pregnancy test and it was positive. I told my doctor about my two last light periods and she said that I may be four months but right now they are calculating my due date from my last light period in february and that I wouldn't truly know how far I was until my first sonnagram. I don't want to wait to more months, then I just might be six months. What do you think... Am I two months pregnant or four???? Rolling Eyes

At four months I just started to show, so if you've been growing out of your pants maybe you are more than two. Another thing that might be able to help is if they could hear the heartbeat, at two months, they couldn't with me, but we're all different. Confused If you do start getting big prego belly, or start to feel kicks, I would definately be talking to your doctor. Sorry I wish I could help more. Sad
congradulations though and good luck!!

Wait Two Months?

Why would you have to wait another two months? They should give you an ultra sound right away with your first appointment to see how far along you are. If they are wanting you to wait that long, maybe you shoud go somewhere else. You could be 4 months, or 2. Its hard to say. You should start showing soon if you are 4.

Stacy is right!! When the date of the last menstraul period is uncertain, an ultrasound or blood test is the way to find out for sure. I experienced the same thing with my son. I had two light periods and when I called the doctor they said that I didn't need to come in until I was atleast 6 weeks. I waited and when I went in they did an ultrasound and dated the fetus by measurement. I was almost 15 weeks pregnant by the time I made it to the doctor. Just a tip!!! Don't let the doctor and nurses walk all over you!!! Stand up for yourself and don't leave the office until you know how far along you are. Demand a blood test that measures hcg levels. That will also help Cool

An ultrasound will tell. Just be patient and don't settle yourself on a date just yet!
