Unusual urine smell with severe headache Posted: 02-09-08 11:42am
Last night I woke up and all I could smell
was a dog or cat urine smell. (No animals
are peeing in my house) Then few minutes
later I woke up with a severe headache.
The headache continued all night and is
still there at 9:30 this morning. I took
3 advil this morning at 5 and it helped
some. I do get migraine and this is not
the same. This feels like someone hit me
with a 2x4 in the back of the head.
I did miss my enbrel shot this week and
took it this morning when I remembered.
Given that you say you do get migraines,
you may be experiencing a migraine since
they can vary in ache intensity and type.
If Advil (ibuprofen) helps you to relieve
the pain, you can take it whenever you
have a headache. If the unusual smell
repeats, you might consider consulting a
neurologist. A CT-scan of the head may be
requested to exclude a brain lesion.
