Gestation and Abortion Election
Posted: 02-09-08 22:37pm

OK PL and those that believe they are: tis time to play your game.. how does gestating help any of the problems and causes that women cite as reasons they elect to abort either?
Put up or shut up.

- Do show me how being unable to afford a baby is magically cured by gestation.

- Do show how gestating automatically makes all relationships stable.

- For those feelings of being unready, just gestate, that automatically makes you ready for the responsibility of parenthood in one easy 9 month course.

- And for those who are afraid of letting the sig other or parent/friends/spouse know you're pregnant, well relief is just around the corner since no one notices a pregnant belly anyway, they'll just think you've gained weight. (seriously.. did you even think about this one?) and your fears will fade away and you'll live happily ever after.

- Hubby or Sig Other left? Well that little bun you have in your oven will bring them crying home everytime !!

Do you see the absurdity of your ridiculous stance that gestation is the ultimate answer to a private medical issue?
Gestating solves nothing. Go wave your magic wand somewhere else. The problems will still be there, increased now by having gestated. Of course no women ever misses work due to pregnancy related issues, not even the pregnant girl who left early today because of severe back ache and a kidney infection (pregnancy related btw)..

oh I forgot.. pregnancy is the safest thing you can do with your body, no women ever comes to harm over it right?

This is off topic, but, isn't it weird having that pro-life ad in the middle of your post? "get equipped for life" sorry just thought it was a weird ad.

OH wait. After I posted that it changed and now it has some ad for "genital wart balm" Laughing

I can claim no responsibility for ads; if I did we'd have greenpeace everywhere.

Abortion is not about moral, values or ethics it is about self centered controllists.
Do you know what the leading reason is for abortions? Wants to postpone childbearing:

Wants to postpone childbearing: 25.5%
Wants no (more) children: 7.9%
Cannot afford a baby: 21.3%
Having a child will disrupt education or job: 10.8%
Has relationship problem or partner does not want pregnancy: 14.1%
Too young; parent(s) or other(s) object to pregnancy: 12.2%
Risk to maternal health: 2.8%
Risk to fetal health: 3.3%
Other: 2.1%

I just want to see some PL poster tell me how gestating solves these issues.
