You should be able to start it today. I
was always able to start a new round on
the first day of my period. That way it is
effective immediately.

My OB said to start the day after I end

i always thought it was best to start on
the first day of your period too...... and
yeah it will be effective immediately, but

Orthotricyclen-lo, which is what I asked
for. That's what I was on before, and
that's what I was supposed to do then.

But you got pregnant on that pill. Are
you sure you don't want to try another
one?

She wouldn't give me regular
orthotricyclen, because of my age? She
said she wasn't comfortable giving me the
higher dosage of hormones. Besides I'm not
on the migraine medication anymore, so I'm
not too worried about it failing again.
The pharmacy is closed now anyways, but
I'm ticked my OB didn't tell me I could
start immediately. That would be so much
more convenient!

Oh, OK. Good. I didn't know about the
migraine medication i(what kind was it?)
nterfering with the pill. I can't believe
the pharmacist or your doctor didn't warn
you about the possible interaction of the
two making one or both less potent, but
unfortunately it happens to a lot of
people. The most common interaction,
antibiotics and the pill, is also not told
to enough women on the pill, so that lack
of information also causes a lot of
unplanned pregnancies.
