Starting baby on solids and 4 months? Posted: 02-10-08 00:58am
I know it sounds early.
I think it myself.
..but my daughter drinks well ver 30 35 oz
a day shes had cerel in her bottles...no
doing that right now though
But we just recently saw her ped and e
suggested if I wanted to try her on cereal
but the spoon and slowly move to veggies
and fruits ...it was okay if I flt
comfortable and of course if y daughter
would take.
Whats your take on this guys?
If had ppl tell me they started hter kids
on solids at the same age and tere kids
are fine.
I dont know ..im really curious what u
guys think.

I think 4 months is fine. I started my
daughter on cereal at 4 months. She is
now almost 6 months and eats a variety of
things. If your daughter shows interest
in what you eat, she is probably ready.
Try feeding with a spoon. She will let
you know when she's had enough. My
daughter will clinch her lips shut and
turn her head away. Good luck.

I started feeding my son 'solids' at 3.5-4
months. I didn't start with cereal
though. The first thing other than
breastmilk or formula that he had to eat
was veggies, and then fruit when a second
meal needed to be introduced. Although
the cereal 'these days' is more healthy
than it once was, the fact remains it's
not natural food. To each their own, but
i believe that it was the right choice.
He's now 10 months old and hes a
wonderfully busy, healthy boy.
