that just wouldn't be right.

thats like saying, "Hi i can come into YOUR forum but you aren't good enough to come into MINE."

doesn't seem fair.

whats the point in separating people by age when people of all ages start drama and stupid threads?

Well, it accomplishes the exact same thing as making a new forum for just over 20 year olds, so that is why I thought of it. Reading Lee's post again in someone else's post jogged my memory.

So where are we at right now? Are we creating two new forums and just deciding what to call them? Or what?

I don't know. I don't care, either, Nothing will really change except for the name of the forum we click on.

This place is in desperate need of change.

I believe a recent banning may solve most of the problems.

Thanks Lee!

Well I know that I, for one, don't have an interest visiting a forum where 80% of the posts are dedicated to jolly rancher slushies and photoshopping pictures. The point of splitting the forum is to make PCC more adult-friendly without cencoring the random "fun" stuff.

(I say "fun" because apparently I'm one of the few who don't appreciate slushie threads.)

Geez 14 pages, I only read through the first page so far, but have to say I soooo agree with aya on that!

and Dani, the 'oldies' are the GOOD traffic. If we leave eHealth will go to poo due to stupid topics. I don't post here that much for that reason.

that pretty much says "newbies arent welcome"

That's what I thought when I read it.
Wow, you guys need to stop taking it so personal. Dead weight meaning people who shouldn't be here and there are quite a few (IMO). I've never even talked to you or really any of the newby's so why would I say that.

Dani, it would be nice if you took my posts as they are instead of jumping to conclusions.thanks!

what exactly does "all the oldies are the GOOD traffic" mean then? or that if they leave ehealth will be poo? that says if you arent an oldie your making ehealth poo. I dont know why yall wanna jump on me when Im not being mean, just honest.
No, it doesn't make you a robot but your supposed to be supportive of people. Your actually being rude. Jus tto let you know also my comment had absolutely nothing to do with the 'newbies' and 'oldies'. thats what you get for accuming though. . . Rolling Eyes

GOODNESS ME
Posted: 02-12-08 07:39am

i think two forums is the only option
and with the pushing people away. some cant see it but this whole post is doing it. its a Lets push all the teens out. or lets push all the people who post pictures and stuff out.

whether you agree with me or not its happening.
and to be honest if you make an off the wall forum for all the slushies and cake and what to have for lunch n prom pics then all your going to have on this forum is people talking about there kids being ill and kida being born stuff like that and rarely find something to randomly chat about during the day.

everyones not always on and to be honest the people who are do something called CHAT IN THE COMUNITY!
if you walk outside your front door so you randomly talk about slushies and caca like that???? if not

oft how boaring are you.

were all only doing what the formuns called

I think there are too many forums as it is and if we keep going into detail with them people are going to be overwhelmed and not know where to post.

If you honestly think that the recent multitide of random non-topic posts hasn't been excessive, you must be blind. People with children don't usually have lots of time to bum around the internet, so what little time we DO have, we want to spend on worthy things. You're sadly mistaken if you think I want to waste minutes of my life on Photoshop and watermelon slushies. But people who DO want to read that stuff are free to read it... in a forum designed for random off the wall stuff.

You know what I want to read? About people's husbands coming back from the war. Or about how to plan a birthday party. Or how someone's weekend was. Or if someone's family member is responding to chemo. That stuff gets pushed down to the bottom of the forum because we're overrun with the random "yay I'm bored so I'll post a bit of nonsense" posts.

And yes, with Suzy gone, those posts will be cut in half, along with the negativity and sarcasm. Perhaps with her gone we don't need to split the forum anymore.

did you read the post hun? thats kinda the point, people dont want the nonsence posts to push down the real important posts which it was doing

and about pushing people out, if they are going to leave over this i dont see them as ones who would have stayed long anyway because change is INEVITALBE, lee is just trying to make it where its not as much drastic obnoxious change

i know you werent here for this but a while ago we didnt even have THIS chat, it was just preg and stuff...WE faught tooth and nail for this one and we got it eventually, but it made some people leave because they didnt want to post in a new place, and they were people i dont beleive would have stuck around anyway
