two code blues on hospital bill Posted: 02-11-08 12:14pm
Hello, I have a question.
My dad died of a heart attack last month,
and we finally received the bill from the
hospital. I have a question:
There are TWO Code Blue's listed on the
bill (at about $1500 a piece)... what does
that mean? Were they able to get his heart
started? And then it stopped again? Any
info would help.
Thanks.

Code blue means "medical emergency" in
hospital talk. Code Blue is a signal
given over the intercom when a patient's
heart has stopped and a team speeds to the
bedside to try to revive the person.
