Gabe is really sick.. Crying
or Very sad

He's coughing really really hard,
has a super bad runny nose,
isn't eating, is sleeping horribly,
& his lips are kinda purple?

I'm trying to make him a doctor's appointment for today, but the dumbasses won't answer the frickin' phone at the office!

I feel so bad for the poor little guy.

or Very sad

I hope that they're just out at lunch (although they should have an answering service) and you can get through soon. If all else fails, maybe you could bring him to the office in person or go to the ER?

Poor little Gabe! I hope he recovers soon. Sad

if his lips are purple I'd take him to the emergency.
My friends daughter started going purple one day and she ended up having a heart condition. Not trying to scare you but it's always best to get it checked out right away.

I was debating taking him to the ER.
He sounds like he's breathing okay,
but it's super cold in my house, & we
sleep in the basement, so I dunno if that's
why his lips are purple- 'cause he's cold?

& Laura, I've left 2 messages at the office.
I'm just hoping they get back to me real soon.

Ah, they just called back! She said they're trying to only see patients who really need to be seen- because in the one office alone, they have 60 messages on the machine of people wanting to get in.

But I told her all of his symptoms & she said said we can come in at 345. & She said hopefully it's not, but that it sounds kind of like RSV. Confused Crying
or Very sad

I hope that's not it.

*Sigh*

Cindy, I'm excited.. It's pretty bittersweet. I'm also a little frustrated because I don't know how Chris & I are going to work out the whole birthday party thing. We both want to have his party ON his actual birthday, & both of us want to have it first. At first, Chris wanted to have it joint- but then he changed his mind. So whatever. Not quite sure what'll happen yet. Whatever it is, I just want it to be special.

& Thanks Laura! I <3 you! I hope it's not RSV either. Wah.

I hope he feels better soon. My daughter is sick too Sad She is currently in my bed sleeping off 103 temp.

As far as the birthday party goes... the first party doesn't mean the best party. Wink The best party will stand alone. And the truth is, kids don't remember those anyway. They remember the day to day of life.

I agree with Ingi! He'll remember who was with him when he was sick, who was with him on his first day of school, and who showed up for all of his t-ball games.

You will do something amazing I'm sure.

does he honestly expect your MUTUAL friends and family to come to two separate parties and give gifts twice? Confused

*Sigh*

At least baby boy is sleeping now.. he needs all the rest he can get.

Ick! Rsv is so not fun! I have already been through it so if you have any questions I can probably answer them. He is he retracting at all? I never checked that until Luke ended up in the hospital las year but now I check it all the time.

according to Google Definitions..

"Definitions of retracting on the Web:

* when the baby is pulling the chest in at the ribs with breathing.
www.lpch.org/DiseaseHealth Info/HealthLibrary/newborn/glossary.html

* When an infant breathes hard and tugs in at the chest.
www.ucsfhealth.org/childre ns/edu/icnGlossary.html"
