You can tell if he is retracting by
looking at the way that he breathes. If
there is what looks almost like a dent in
between his ribs and belly every time that
he breathes then he is retracting. The
nurses call it pulling and that sorta
explains it a little bit better.
If it looks like he is working to breathe
from his stomach area then usually you
should go into the er. My doctors scared
me with saying that the baby's little
lungs might give out because he is working
so hard.

aww i saw your post on myspace, i hope it
isnt RSV and he gets some good meds to
help him, i hate when poor lil babies get
really sick, im lucky and my kids have
never been really sick other then when
joseph had rotavirus , that is not fun at
all.
