Vitamin C and orange juice Posted: 02-12-08 08:44am
Is there more vitamin C in a glass of
freshly squeezed orange juuice, or in a
500mg tablet of Vitamin C? Is one better
for you than the other?

I don't know about the quantities...I do
know that the tablet is more
concentrated...
A lot of times, you might be wasting yur
money by buying vitamin supplements if
your body don't need them. If you drink a
vitamin-c tablet and it's not really
needed by your body, it just passes
straight through your system and doesn't
get absorbed. Literrally p*****g your
money away
Whereas, if you eat/drink oranges/juice,
your body at least gets other nutrients as
orange juice doesn't concist only out of
vit-c.
In my case, however, I have no choice...I
seem to get an allergic reaction to
citrus/citric-acid, so I can't drink
orange juice to begin with

Also consider that if you consume the pulp
of the juice, you're also getting fiber
which is great for digestion.
