Q: 5 weeks - mild cramping

Hey girlies!
Quick question for ya...I've read that this is normal, but I guess I just need some reassurance! I'm 5 weeks today, and I'm still having some mild cramping going on. I'm guessing it's just the ole' uterus stretching around in there...but it's still worrying me a little bit. Confused I haven't had any bleeding and the cramping is pretty mild, and more off and on than constant. Just seeing if anybody else experienced this early on in pregnancy? I am petrified of losing my bean!
Thanks, ladies!! Very Happy

period-like cramps? totally normal! i think it would be more uncommon to find someone who didn't feel them.

i still occasionally feel them. i hate it but i know it's normal!

This is totally normal. Kind of like you keep going to the bathroom to 'check' for your period, right? Yep, normal.

Yeah, I definetely had cramps that early on (and throughout). I would have sworn I was going to start my period at any minute.

I had the exact same question for these girls around 5~6 weeks. It is totally normal. You will feel those stretching cramps for a few weeks. As long as there is no bleeding you are fine. And even if there is some blood (not bright red) it is normal. I had a bit of brown discharge at 5 weeks. But it's all good now.
Congrats!!

I had the cramps for about 2 straight weeks then they stopped and now they come back and stab the crap out me every now and again....the joys of pregnancy.....

Glad you feel better though....I got scared too. This is my 1st pregnancy, so I had no idea what to expect.

oh yes, I've had them my entire pregnancy so far (30wks) and they just seem to get worse. Feels like someone keeps stabbing me right above my hip in the front, doc says it's a ligament twitching... oh joy.

Same!!
I have the exact same, although nothing else!! I feel as if I should be feeling sick & having tender boobs but nothing extreme!! It makes it hard to believe your pregnant!! Love reading the replies though, it gives so much reassurance x x
