Why is it that none of us seem to have friends in real life? That is a common theme among us eHealthers...

i personally find it very hard to make friends as an adult. the people i work with are either 10 years younger than me or 15+ years older. i'm assuming (hoping!) that once i start taking finn to activities and classes that i'll meet some other moms.

I have "friends," but they're mostly immature drama whores. C'est la high school.

Really, where do you find friends? I have coworker friends but I work only two days a week and they live SO FAR. I am trying to find a church but even then, it's hard to find some good friends. It's everything I can do to keep up with the little things.

School activities, etc., are a great place to meet friends. Play dates are great because you meet the other moms in their homes, and they meet you in theirs. I have been invited in for wine, tea, other cocktails, then parties, etc. With same age children in common (who are friends on top of that) you'll never run out of things to talk about, lol!

Most of my friends either have no kids or their kids are much older than Alyvia. Plus they work and we work, so getting together is harder than it used to be.

Since when does eHealth not censor out "whores" with "promiscuious person" or "Highly available" or whatever it used to be?

It's hard to find REAL friends in everyday life.

I have, literally, 2 friends. They're amazing!! And I'm blessed to have them!

Alicia, I'm not mad at anyone. I don't have time to be mad! LOL!

I had a lot of "friends" at one point. But since I've settled down and got married, I don't have any "real" friends. Plus I've always had a really hard time with being friends with girls, it's like they instantly don't like me.

It's really hard. I personally work two days a week and the other days, I am running around between Nate's preschool, speech, appts, etc. There is a boise parent forum that I am involved in and the woman do get together sometimes. I just don't click with most of them either. Play dates were easier when I had just Nate. Now the play dates seem to be mainly for preschool age or for really young kids. I need to find a mixture. I guess I will keep on searching.

I have been involved in those things before but they haven't ever amounted to "true friendship." It never seems to go beyond the superficial friendship stage. I guess it's all about what you are really looking for. It would be nice to find at least a few close friends near where I live.

When I got married I lost touch with some of my friends, but now that I have Ava, I've rebuilt my friend circle. Most of them are new friends.

sarah im here too! I dont know why people are leaving!? is it because suzy and opal got banned?

I dont have any *real friends* offline either. There's a couple mums at jaydens school I talk to everyday while we wait for our kids to come out, and we get on really well, we'll probably meet up in school holidays to take our kids places together. Church is a good place if you want to meet new people. To be honest though im really anti-social and depression makes that worse.

Christy did you get my pm?
