I am a male, 35 years. During the last 4-5
days, I go into a state where for few
seconds or minutes, I go out of control
(meaning I am unable to ascertain what is
happening around me). I feel a blankness
during that period. This happens anytime,
during work, driving or even during
watching TV or even at my sleep. and also
I feel numbness in my limbs (especially on
my left hand) and I also get severe
headache's during that time
When I come back to normal, I could able
to realize that I was in a different
state. And when the normalcy is back, i
feel a jolt through out my body and feel
like that blood flows faster onto my
limbs.
The fact that you ARE ABLE TO REALIZE that
you were in a different state of mind and
that you noticed that you "came back to
normal" in addition to the fact that you
FEEL SOMETHING during that different
state (headache, blankness and numbness)
indicates that you probably are not
experiencing epilepsy. If you experienced
an epileptic attack, you would not be able
to remember the details of a “different
state”. To be sure, a possible diagnosis
of epilepsy can be confirmed or excluded
using an EEG test. Given the additional
symptoms that you mention (“felt a jolt
through the body” and “feel like that
blood flows faster onto limbs”) you
could be experiencing a kind of anxiety
disorder (somatoform disorder).
Therefore, you can consult your GP about
this problem for a preliminary
investigative appointment.
